Granite State Fair, originally established as the Rochester State Fair in the 1800s, began as a community initiative to highlight agricultural and mechanical displays. Today, it upholds these traditional exhibits and competitions while expanding to include many modern attractions. Visitors can enjoy a bustling midway with rides, games, food, entertainment, and the unique Circus Hollywood, exclusive to New England. Additional highlights include the thrilling Bus Derby, unique agricultural exhibits, vendors, and exciting activities such as Cornhole tournaments. Come and experience everything the fair has to offer!

Flat Track Motorcycle Series Returns!

Flat track motorcycle racing ran at the fairgrounds from 1993 to 2008 but stalled after that due to
the declining health of the then promoter. Now, the team with memories of those prior years has
stepped up to run the event.

Megan O’Connell, owner of SOS Racing Promotions said that the Rochester Fair location is
known internationally. International racers ask when Rochester will return to the series. Ms.
O’Connell said that there is a video clip of the Rochester event at the Harley Davidson Museum
in Wisconsin.

The first event taking place Sunday, September 15 at 4:00pm in the grandstand won’t be an actual race given the time they
have to set up, it will be an exhibition. Riders can show off before the crowd and explain the
features of their motorcycles. The exhibition event will show the crowd what flat track racing is all about!

A second event will take place in June 2025 during New Hampshire’s Motorcycle Week.
